High precision and reliability temperature measurement INTEMPCO

Model PTS02 Programmable Temperature Sensor/Transmitter/Switch: Offers the highest accuracy available on the market for being much more accurate than the RTD and separate transmitter or switch, by using the patented MIST™ technology (sensor and transmitter on the same element). The benefits:

  • Eliminates the interchangeability error, which makes it highly recommended for custody transfer applications and others where the precision of the temperature measurement ensures savings.
  • It is factory calibrated to an accuracy of ±0.25% of span or better.
  • The sensing element is an RTD PT100 Ohm Class A
  • CSA certified explosion proof for use in Class 1 Div 1
  • Different installation options and mounting configurations

MIST™ – Microprocessor Integrated Sensor Transmitter:

The MIST™ combines the stability and accuracy of an RTD element with the benefits of an integral 4-20 mA signal conditioning device with integrated electronic circuitry and a microprocessor that can be recalibrated and rescaled over its entire input functioning range.

The small size of the MIST™ makes it ideal for applications where limited space does not allow the use of a connection head, such as compressors, generators, chillers, motors, and other general industrial applications. Available with connection head for industrial applications and 3rd sanitary grade.

Conventional RTDs temperature sensors for assembly with thermowell and connector head or transmitter, both for industrial use and sanitary grade.

Non-intrusive surface mount RTD sensors consisting of a probe section designed to mount to flat or curved surfaces. Terminations are most commonly done with extension cords. The cables can be supplied with PVC, Teflon or Silicone Jacket insulation. Some cables are also available with a stainless steel top braid or stainless steel armor for additional protection. They can integrate the MIST concept to include the transmitter.

Thermocouples of all types (J, K, T, E, N) available in different specifications, assembled with thermowell, protective tube, compensated cables and connectivity accessories.

Tube skin thermocouples or also known as Wel Pad allow the measurement of temperatures on flat or curved surfaces such as pipes and tubes, in boilers, turbogas, heaters, ovens. Different lengths and arrangements depending on the application.

ABM Sensors, Level measurement of liquids and solids

Ultrasonic Non-Contact Measurement with version for sanitary and/or high temperature use, conveyor belts, and battery operated for IoT integration in 4G cellular modem network.

Unique” Non-Contact Radar measurement eliminating false echoes and with high resolution even for detecting crude oil-water interface.

Model LTX20 EX Fuel/Oil: capacitance sensor for continuous tank level measurement, currently used to monitor diesel fuel level for stationary or mobile generators.  It is shock resistant and very robust. It has no moving parts. The sensor is not affected by waves or splashes.

These equipment are low-cost solutions that can be used in:

  • Diesel fuels
  • MEK and other solvents
  • Transmission oils
  • Steering and hydraulic fluids
  • Engine oils
  • Methanol
  • Ethanol
  • Vegetable oils

Not to be used with materials corrosive to SS316, or heavy crude oils.

Model LTX03: highly reliable microprocessor-based capacitance level transmitters designed to measure the levels of liquids in tanks and certain dry bulk media in metal tanks.  They use very high frequency, very low amplitude sensing circuitry to greatly minimize the effects of coating on the sensing probe.

The LTX03 includes a standard 4-20 mA loop-powered LTX transmitter with LCD display mounted in a rugged explosion-proof housing, a mounting fixture and a rigid probe for ranges up to 12 ft (4 m). The probe material supplied is SS316 with PFA Teflon coating or bare SS316. The LTX03 is designed for tanks that have 1/2 “NPT or larger connection connections.

The most relevant applications include:

  • Water and water-based liquids in non-metallic tanks.
  • Jacketed probes for conductive media
  • Deodorant level in dosing systems for gas lines
  • Organic acids
  • Oils and fuels in metallic and non-metallic tanks
  • Use of bare probes with non-conductive fluids
  • On-site calibration required
  • Not recommended where the dielectric of the material changes.
  • The tank must be conductive or grounding may be required.

Sanitary grade versions of the same equipment are available.
