Continuous Monitoring of process gas & emissions CEMS (Codel)

The GCEM40 series is the latest generation of CODEL’s single or multi-channel InSitu flue gas analyzers, this state-of-the-art gas analyzer provides complete flexibility in processes or emissions applications while delivering excellent accuracy and repeatability at a very competitive price. It measures key pollutants using infrared spectroscopy to ensure there is no cross-sensitivity from other pollutants in the gas stream.

The GCEM40E hot extractive multichannel gas analyzer is the recommended version for difficult applications where inSitu does not apply. It offers the advantage of online analysis of wet samples, which does not vary the concentration of components due to dilution by removing the condensate. Three decades of development, knowledge and practical experience have been invested to deliver high accuracy and repeatability at a competitive price.

Opacity and Dust Monitoring (Particulate Matter)

Given the requirements to monitor the opacity and determine the density of the smoke emitted by the boiler, we recommend the EnergyTech 101/102 opacity monitor for small boilers, a single-pass optical device that uses visible light to measure the opacity and dust inside the flue gas. This low-cost, simple-to-install model features high-efficiency air purges to minimize lens contamination from dust or debris for increased reliability with very low maintenance. It can be calibrated offline for Opacity using a neutral-density filter kit. If the measurement is required in mg/m3, a calibration check must be carried out by Standard Reference Method by an independent laboratory.

The Model DCEM2100 Dual Beam Particulate Matter/Opacity Monitor provides continuous measurement of opacity or dust concentration in flue gases by continuously measuring the transmissivity of visible light through a duct or process stack in large manufacturing plants. combustion and power plants.

Its double-pass optical arrangement is based on twin transmissometers that measure in opposite directions through the same section of the gas stream, providing not only accurate averaging of the dust load but also a unique dynamic assessment of any misalignment due to chimney movements. Detects any contamination in the optics, generating an alarm to the operator for adjustment.

Dust Collectors – Tribo-Electric Dust Monitor EnergyTech 301

Many industrial processes have dust collectors of some kind, the most popular being bag filters. Usually, they must have a broken bag detector to detect and alert excessive emissions. The EnergyTech 301 directly measures the concentration of particles by sensing the friction charge created when the particles collide with the conductor. It is low cost, easy to install and maintain as it does not require critical alignment and has no optical surfaces to keep clean. Suitable for ducts up to 2 meters in diameter. If a calibrated reading in mg/m3 is required, a calibration check per Standard Reference Method must be performed by an independent laboratory.

EnergyTech 401 On-Site CO Analyzer

There is a particular problem with CO buildup in electrostatic precipitators (ESPs) that can lead to an explosion of the ESP. CODEL’s EnergyTech Model 401 can monitor CO levels in ESPs and alarm when levels reach a critical point.

Fixed flow measurements of gases – VCEM 5100

Many large combustion plants are now required to monitor mass emissions of major pollutants and requires accurate measurement of stack gas velocity. CODEL’s VCEM 5100 measures the velocity of stack gases using a highly accurate time-of-flight measurement derived from cross-correlation analysis of infrared emissions from turbulent gas.

Two robust infrared detectors are used for primary detection, mounted in the stack or in the flue duct 1m apart in the direction of the flow. High-efficiency air curtains are installed to significantly extend the time between maintenance periods and window cleaning (typically 1 year).

The VCEM 5100 is TÜV and MCERT certified according to EN 15267 part 3 QAL 1 for all industrial processes, including waste incineration, and is fully compliant with EN/I SO 16911 part 2.
